“Saha Group – BATC” Support Thailand’s Aviation Industry Advancing Personnel to International Standards

Saha Group, through Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited (SPI), has announced a collaboration with Bangkokair Aviation Training Center Co., Ltd. (BATC), an international aviation training services provider, at a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support the aviation industry and elevate aviation personnel.

This collaboration represents the synergy of two organizations with complementary strengths. Saha Group possesses private airfields and facilities within its industrial parks, while BATC is an aviation training center under the management of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, with expertise in both ground and flight training. The partnership between these two organizations will help drive sustainable growth of Thailand’s aviation industry.

Under this collaboration, the two companies will jointly undertake several initiatives, such as increasing the number of aviation students, organizing teaching and learning activities, producing knowledgeable and skilled aviation industry personnel, planning for personnel and facilities, aircraft leasing and sales, utilizing relevant facilities, and studying the expansion of operations through both parties’ business channels and networks. There are also plans to jointly explore future business opportunities, such as developing aviation personnel training curricula and airport operations and security management.

Mr. Vichai Kulsomphob, Chief Executive Officer & Executive Chairman of Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited, stated that SPI, as a holding company of Saha Group, has been operating for over 53 years serving as an investor in more than 200 subsidiaries and business partners.  It also plays an important role in developing and managing Saha Group’s four industrial parks across Thailand: Si Racha, Kabin Buri, Mae Sot, and Lamphun. These parks are well-equipped with infrastructure, resources, and strategic locations, particularly featuring private airfields located within all four Saha Group industrial parks, which can be efficiently utilized for aviation training, teaching, and various aviation activities.

In addition, we have comprehensive capabilities to provide support in utilities, safety, and logistics, which will help ensure this collaboration moves forward smoothly and brings maximum benefit to all sectors. Saha Group is pleased to collaborate with BATC in enhancing the capabilities of aviation personnel, a key mechanism driving the modern economy. This collaboration not only promotes the development of professional skills but also opens opportunities for youth and personnel in Thailand to access internationally standardized training and prepare for continuous growth in the aviation industry.

BATC is the first and only institution in Thailand appointed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as a Regional Training Partner, helping to elevate Thailand’s aviation training standards to international levels by integrating classroom learning with practical training so learners can apply their knowledge directly in the aviation industry. It is also certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) as a training organization offering courses such as the Commercial Pilot License, flight simulator training, and Type Rating courses for Airbus A320 and ATR72 aircraft.
