03 July 2026

Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited (SPI), under the Saha Group, along with Resorttrust, Inc., a leading operator of hotels, resorts, healthcare services, and senior care from Japan; Mitsui & Co., Ltd., a global trading and investment company from Japan; and Mitsui & Co. (Thailand) Ltd., a business development and investment company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU aims to study the feasibility of operating a Japanese dietary supplement business with the Saha Group, as well as developing real estate projects for the elderly in Thailand.

Mr. Vorayos Thongtan, Managing Director of Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited (SPI), stated: “Thailand has fully entered an aging society. At the same time, consumers are placing greater importance on health and quality of life. This collaboration is therefore a significant opportunity to jointly study and develop new businesses that respond to these changing societal trends. We will combine the strengths of Saha Group's business network with knowledge and experience from Japan to create new, high-quality health and senior care options for consumers in Thailand.”
Mr. Tetsuro Yoshihara, General Manager, Medical Care Business HQ Global Business Promotion Department, Resorttrust, Inc., stated: “Resorttrust has been engaged in the medical business for approximately 30 years. We are confident that the know-how we have developed in Japan—high-quality, hospitality-driven “Resorttrust-style” senior residences—will provide people in Thailand with a new lifestyle option that meets their expectations. In this initiative, we will not only provide residences as places to live, but also offer supplements to support daily health from within. By combining both hardware and software, we aim to contribute comprehensively to extending healthy life expectancy in Thailand.”
Mr. Junji Fukuoka, President & CEO of Mitsui & Co. (Thailand), stated: “Mitsui has a deeply established history of engagement in Thailand, and the Saha Group has been our invaluable partner throughout this journey. Our role is not simply to bring in overseas business models, but to deeply understand the needs of the Thai market and consumer needs, and to build business rooted in Thailand together with our partners. We are fully committed to leverage our knowledge and network to drive the project toward realization and commercialization.”
Mr. Naomasa Tajimi, General Manager, Innovative Business Division, Healthcare DX Department, Mitsui & Co., added: “Mitsui and Resorttrust Group has been operating a joint venture and working closely in the healthcare field in Japan since 2013. The MOU marks the first step toward jointly exploring new business opportunities in Thailand. We will assess the potential for bringing Resorttrust’s supplement products to the Thai market, while also considering opportunities in senior residence business from a long-term perspective.”
Following the signing, all parties will jointly establish a working team and project committee to study and analyze the market, business models, and investment opportunities. They will also provide the information, personnel, and resources necessary for operations before considering the feasibility of developing health and Senior Living projects, as well as expanding distribution channels for Japanese dietary supplements in Thailand.
This collaboration marks another significant step in business cooperation between Thailand and Japan, bringing knowledge, experience, and expertise in health and senior care from Japan to integrate with the potential of business networks in Thailand. This aims to create new business opportunities, elevate the quality of life for the elderly, increase healthcare options, and support the long-term growth of Thailand's Wellness and Senior Living industry.
